About
We’re a Melbourne design studio led by Diego Benavides. We bring an architectural background to every image and drawing, working across design, 3D modelling and rendering.
Questions
What does Diego Benavides Design do?
Two things: architectural visualisation (photoreal 3D renders of interiors and exteriors), and home design: custom homes, renovations and extensions, resolved as a concept you can see in 3D before anything is built. The studio is based in Melbourne and led by Diego Benavides.
Which areas do you work in?
Design work covers Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula (Dromana, Mornington, Mount Martha, Rosebud, Red Hill, Sorrento, Rye, Mount Eliza), Frankston, Seaford, Carrum Downs and Bayside. Visualisation is delivered Australia-wide.
How long does a render take?
Typically 10–14 working days from a complete brief, including a draft round and revisions.
Do you prepare building permit drawings?
Not at the moment. In Victoria, drawings for a building permit must be prepared by a registered building practitioner (a registered building designer or architect). We work at the stage before that: concept design, layouts and 3D design development, so you take a resolved design to your builder, building designer or architect for documentation.
How do I get a quote?
Use the form below or email info@diegobenavidesdesign.com. Drawings, a Revit or SketchUp model, a moodboard or even an early idea is enough to start. You'll hear back within two working days.
What do I need to send you?
Whatever you have: plans and elevations, a 3D model, photos of the existing house, and references for materials and mood. If the design is still early, a sketch and a short description are enough to start the conversation.
What affects the price?
Mainly the number of images or drawings, interior or exterior views, the level of detail and landscaping, how complete the drawings or model are, and your deadline. Every project is quoted up front.
How do DB Visualisations and Diego Benavides Design relate?
They're the same studio. DB Visualisations is the name we use for our visualisation work and on Instagram (@dbvisualisations); Diego Benavides Design covers our home design work.
